Kristina Zaidner attended New World School of the Arts High School in Miami, Florida and trained with with Rosario Suarez, the renowned principal dancer of the National Ballet of Cuba. She later went on to receive her BFA from The Alvin Ailey School in New York City in collaboration with Fordham University at Lincoln Center.
During her time in New York she performed extensively as a member of the Metropolitan Opera Ballet Company. As a freelance / guest artist, she has danced in works by Alvin Ailey, Martha Graham, Jose Limon, Hofesh Shechter, Itzik Galili, Kim Brandstrup, Paul Taylor, Jennifer Archibald, Desmond Richardson, Darrell Grand Moultrie, Darshan Singh Bhuller, Thang Dao and Christopher Rudd among others performing both classic and repertory works.
Kristina was also a guest at the Ballet Contemporaneo de Camaguey (Cuba) and at the Opus Ballet in Florence (Italy). Since moving to Germany in 2022, Kristina was a dancer in the ballett company of Theater Plauen-Zwickau and has had the opportunity to perform works by Mário Radačovský (ballett director of Narodni Divadlo Brno), Giovanni Napoli (Ballett Augsburg) and Sergei Vanaev (ballett director Theater Plauen Zwickau). She is currently a part of the tanz ensemble of Landesbuehnen Sachsen under the direction of Natalie Wagner.
As a dance educator, Kristina was on permanent faculty in the professional division at The Ailey School, home of the world renowned Modern dance company, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, as a Modern dance teacher. She was also a teaching artist for various Arts in Education programs and the dance director and choreographer for Unity Stage (a youth musical theater program in New York City). Kristina has taught master class series throughout the United States including at Rhode Island University and as part of Dance Gallery Festival in Huntsville Texas as well as internationally while as a Guest Artist of Ballet Contemporaneo de Camaguey, Cuba and various schools throughout Italy including Korper Dance School in Naples and Centro di Danza e Movimento in Florence, Italy.
Kristina has also worked with a number of students privately and prepared them for international Ballet competitions.
Ms. Zaidner was the permanent demonstrator of the Graham technique class of Dudley Williams at The Ailey School and always strives to preserve Mr. Williams' philosophy of speaking and communicating through the movement. She hopes to continue her work as a performing artist and share her passion and love for the arts in all capacities!
